Heather Kanazawa was born and raised in Edinburg Pennsylvania, USA.  She attended Edinboro University and earned a BFA in Painting in 2007 and then an MA in Art Education in 2011. She has exhibited her work locally, regionally, and internationally. She has taught at various arts centers and colleges, including Jamestown Community College, Jamestown, NY.  

 

In her latest paintings, she is investigating the essence of memory and moments in time and uses memory and intuitive mark making in her painting process.
